Hawkair highly recommends that all shippers/couriers become registered with Transport Canada’s Air Cargo Security Program. Effective January 1, 2013 all domestic air cargo must either come through the Secure Supply Chain, or be screened. For cargo to qualify for the Secure Supply Chain shippers must become a registered shipper. Registerd Shippers may deliver the cargo directly to the air carrier (or to the air carrier's cargo handler, who act as the air carrier's agent), or the Registerd Shippers may have the cargo delivered to the air carrier/cargo handler by an Approved Participant (registered Shipper).
For more information or to become a registered ACS shipper please see Transport Canada's ACS Program.
