TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Reservations:
Our reservations office is open 7.00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pacific time Monday - Friday and
8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays
Reservations can be placed through Hawkair Reservations 1-800-487-1216, email us at reservations@hawkair.ca , online at www.hawkair.ca or through your travel agent.
Ticket Restrictions:
Freedom Fares
Y Fare: refundable and changeable at no charge. Fare includes all fees, taxes and surcharges, including $15 NavCanada surcharge and $3 Insurance surcharge. Y Fare 50 Lb luggage allowance, Stand by one flight prior.Book any time up to 2 hours prior to flight.
Flex Fares
Non-refundable. Fare includes all fees, taxes and surcharges, including $15 NavCanada surcharge and $3 Insurance surcharge. Name changes allowed with a fee of $25 plus tax.
Changes or cancellations can be made up to two (2) hours prior to departure time for a fee of $25.00 plus tax per segment, per passenger plus the difference of fare if applicable. Cancelled tickets will be held in a credit file for one (1) year from date of booking.
Cancellations made on the same day of booking can be put on a credit file or refunded.
Changes made same day as booking will be charged difference of fare available, change fees do not apply same day.
Standby one flight prior for $25 plus tax.
Value Fares
Non-refundable, Advance booking required. Fare includes all fees, taxes and surcharges, including $15 NavCanada surcharge and $3 Insurance surcharge. Name changes permitted with a fee of $50 plus tax.
Changes or cancellations can be made up to two (2) hours prior to departure time for a fee of $50 plus tax per segment, per passenger plus the difference of fare if applicable.
Must be booked a minimum of seven (7) days prior to departure.
Cancelled tickets will be held in a credit file for one (1) year from date of booking.
Cancellations made on the same day of booking can be put on a credit file or refunded.
Changes made same day as booking will be charged difference of fare available, change fees do not apply same day.
Stand by one flight prior $50 plus tax
No Shows:
Passengers who fail to cancel their flight in advance and not show up for their flight will forfeit all their fare, taxes, charges and surcharges.
Special Needs Passengers:

Discounted Fares:
Unaccompanied Minors, Children, Students, Youths, seniors, Medical, Compassionate or Bereavement, please call our reservations department to assist you and explain the terms and conditions for each specific fare. 1-800-487-1216
Identification:
- For passengers who appear to be 18 years of age or older, 1 piece of valid government issued picture ID is required OR 2 pieces of valid government issued non-photo ID is required.
- For passengers who appear 17 years or younger 1 piece of ID.

Check-in:
- It is the passenger’s responsibility to allow sufficient time for security processing at larger airports, where line-ups can be lengthy during busy times.
You must obtain your boarding pass and check-in any baggage by the check-in deadline, and be available at the boarding gate by the boarding gate deadline.

Failure to meet these deadlines may result in denied boarding and/or cancellation of your reservations.
Vancouver: All Hawkair flights arrive and depart out of Vancouver International Airport Main Terminal Domestic Building.
Check in counter opens 2 hours prior to flight departure. Exceptions for Flights 104 and 304: check in opens 3 hours prior
Recommended Check-in time 90 minutes
Check-in Cut-off at Airport Counter 30 minutes
Boarding Gate Deadline 20 minutes
Terrace and Smithers
Recommended Check-in Time 60 minutes
Check-in Cut-off at Airport Counter 30 minutes
Boarding Gate Deadline 20 minutes
Prince Rupert
Check-in Time at Highliner Hotel 2 ½ hours
Check-in Cut-off at Digby Island Airport Counter 30 minutes
Baggage Information:
Each fare paying passenger can check (2) pieces of checked baggage with a maximum combined weight of 50 lbs total, plus one piece of carry on. Anything above these limitations is considered excess baggage and a fee of $1.05 per pound will apply. The excess bags will be permitted on a space-available basis only.
The overall measurement for each piece of checked baggage (L+W+H) must be less than 62” or 158 cm with a maximum weight of 50lbs.
Carry-on/sky check must not exceed L21.5” x W 15.5” x H 9” (55cm x 40cm x 23cm) with a maximum weight of 22 lbs.
Infants under the age of 2 (two) years and are traveling at no charge, are either allowed a car seat or stroller, There is no baggage allowance for the infant.
Passengers should inspect their baggage apond arrival. Should a passenger discover damage to their baggage they should notify a customer service agent within 1hour of their arrival.
Hawkair is not responsible for nicks, scratches, missing pull straps, zippers damage, scuff marks, damage to wheels, soiling, manufacture defects and damage resulting from over packing or spillage of packed items.
Notice of Baggage Liability Limitations:
Hawkair’s maximum liability for lost bags is $250 CAD per fare-paying passenger, and $50 CAD per fare-paying passenger for damaged bags. Additional protection can usually be obtained by purchasing insurance from a private Insurer.
Please note that Hawkair assumes no responsibility for money, jewellery, silverware, negotiable papers, securities or other valuables, business documents, samples, liquids, food and other perishables, computers, prescription drugs, photographic equipment, video equipment, cellular telephones, artistic items, chinaware/ceramics/pottery, electronic and mechanical items, glass, musical instruments and equipment, paper items, and sporting goods (skis, tennis rackets, scuba gear, fishing rods, surfboards, sporting trophies such as animal antlers and horns).

NOTICE OF LIMITATION FOR CARRIAGE OF PETS:
Hawkair will not be responsible in the event of loss, delay, injury, sickness or death of any pet/animal accepted for transportation.
Tariffs: Hawkair Domestic Tariff is available on our website.
Dangerous Goods Policy: Dangerous goods are not permitted under any circumstances.
