The Riverboat Days Festival is held over the BC Day long weekend in August and we invite you to join us in the week-long celebration of our history and culture.

Discover Kitimat

There are discoveries to be made during your visit to Kitimat. Plan a trip on the water - there are a number of guides that can take you out for fishing and wildlife viewing. Take a walk along Kitimat’s network of walkways and arrive at Coghlin Park for a view of the Pacific Ocean’s Douglas Channel.

Have a look around City Centre and the varied shopping in Kitimat’s downtown core, or enjoy Kitimat’s diverse recreational facilities. Include a visit to the Kitimat Museum for community arts, heritage and culture. Drive down to Kitimat’s large sitka spruce then over the bridge to Radley Park campground. There are also a number of access points to Kitimat River for some beautiful views and excellent river fishing. Include a golf game, and a drive to Kitamaat Village for a seafood lunch or dinner. Great channel views are waiting for you. A hike or nature walk could also be included on any of Kitimat’s surrounding terrain.
